What do I wear to a dance class?
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that are cool and move easily. Wear comfortable shoes, of course. No tennis shoes if possible, these will be sticky on wood dance floors and could catch and cause you to trip. For men, a smooth leather bottom shoe such as a work loafer or cowboy boots works best. For women, smooth leather or smooth rubber bottom dance or evening shoes (without tread) that attaches the heel to the ankle, are a must. Ladies leather bottom loafers are ok...but don't wear flip-flops or mules. These types of shoes can come off of your feet and be difficult to move in, or fall off easily and trip other students!
How can I add or update a dance listing?
Click on the "Add your..." tab. Every category listed across the top (Lessons, Instructors, etc) has it's own "Add" link.
For example, to add a lesson, click Add your Link, then click "Lesson". Dance competitions should be listed under events, dance videos and accessories should be included under "Links". If you are unsure of the category for your listing, send an email to the Feedback link on the Main Home page.
You will see a form to be filled in at the bottom of your screen. Fill in the blanks, then click the Save button at the bottom of the form. Your entry will be listed immediately.
If you see an entry that is incorrect and you need it updated or deleted, send the request to the Feedback link and we will handle it. In the future, there will be a way for instructors and studio and event owners to update only their own listings.
At this time, only text will be allowed to be entered. In the near future, we expect to be able to offer a way to upload files (such as your photo (for an instructor) or your flyer (for a lesson or event) ) but in the current version, feel free to include links to websites where the files can be accessed.
